Earthquake: 3.7 quake strikes near Rio Dell

A shallow magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported Friday morning four miles from Rio Dell, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:42 a.m. PDT at a depth of 16.2 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 10 miles from Fortuna, 24 miles from Eureka and 27 miles from Bayside.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
