A wrong-way driver on the westbound 210 Freeway collided with another vehicle early Saturday in Azusa, killing one person and fleeing the scene.
All westbound lanes of the freeway were closed near Vernon Avenue.
The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, said CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.
Authorities first received reports of a wrong-way vehicle at 3:09 a.m., said Polizzi. Reports of the collision came in three minutes later.
Polizzi said the westbound lanes would probably remain closed until 6 a.m.
