Plane Crash In East Hartford

Investigators survey the scene of a deadly plane crash in which a student pilot was killed and the pilot sustained injuries in the Tuesday afternoon crash on Main Street in East Hartford. Eyewitnesses say the plane nearly struck the mini van and its passengers (at left).

It appears that a utility pole was struck by a plane as it lost power and crashed on Main Street in East Hartford on Tuesday afternoon. A student pilot was killed and the pilot survived the crash.

Investigators are examinlg the wreckage of an East Hartford plane crash that killed one person and hospitalized the pilot.
