The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable lunch salad with Dannon fruit yogurt or bean and cheese
burrito, lettuce, cheese and salsa, applesauce, chocolate animal
crackers and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable lunch salad or Galaxy cheese pizza, crisp green salad
with ranch, fresh strawberries and choice of milk.
THURSDAY
Munchable lunch salad or chicken patty sandwich on a bun, zucchini
sticks with ranch dip, apricots and choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Munchable lunch salad or mozzarella cheese dippers, marinara
applesauce, graham crackers and choice of milk.
MONDAY
Munchable lunch salad or Foster Farms corn dog, potato wedges, Sun
Maid raisins and choice of milk.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts.
(*peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
