Baseball: It’s a gold medal for former Birmingham pitcher Marti Sementelli

Marti Sementelli earned plenty of attention pitching for Birmingham’s baseball team during her high school days in 2011.
This past week, she won a gold medal as a member of the USA women’s baseball team that won the inaugural women’s baseball competition at the Pan Am Games.
Birmingham Coach Matt Mowry and her former high school teammates were excited to see her success.
