Cross country: Sarah Baxter tunes up for finals with time of 16:31

Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley hasn’t lost a cross country race in her four years of high school, and she tuned up for next week’s Southern Section finals by running 16:31 in the Division 2 prelims on Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College. It was the fastest time of the day for girls.
In boys’ competition, David Luna of Indio ran 14:36 in Division 3 to record the day’s fastest clocking. Robert Brandt of Loyola had the fastest Division 1 time in 14:55.
