Football: Franklin receiver Guillermo Cordova has 68 receptions in six games

Franklin Coach Narciso Diaz knew that receiver Guillermo Cordova might have a special junior season last spring when he drove by campus on a Sunday and was stunned to see Cordova working by himself running routes in the rain.
“His hard work has really paid off,” Diaz said.
Cordova has caught 68 passes for 780 yards and six touchdowns in six games.
He had 19 receptions for 202 yards against Wilson and 15 for 164 yards against Marshall.
He is sent in motion a lot, catches short passes, slants and just keeps doing things to help his 2-4 team.
