Football: Junior QB Blake Barnett is offered by UCLA

UCLA has moved quickly to offer junior quarterback Blake Barnett of Corona Santiago, Coach Jeff Steinberg said.
Barnett is off to one of the best starts of any QB in Southern California. The 6-foot-4 Barnett has passed for 1,210 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 569 yards and 11 touchdowns.
“He’s just a great young man,” Steinberg said.
