Football: Linebacker John Houston is back practicing for Gardena Serra
- Share via
Standout senior linebacker John Houston of Gardena Serra practiced for the first time in full pads on Monday after being sidelined for months because of a stress fracture in his back.
“He’s a little rusty, but we’ll take it,” Coach Scott Altenberg said.
Houston is on track to play in Serra’s season opener on Friday against Lakewood.
Altenberg continues to be coy about the competition at quarterback.
He insists both junior Khalil Tate and senior Caleb Wilson will play.
