Football: San Diego State could be landing ECR’s Julian Rochelin

Julian Rochelin, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound defensive end from El Camino Real who came on strong playing in his first season of football, took a recruiting visit to San Diego State last week and said on Wednesday he was close to finalizing his decision to choose the Aztecs.

Rochelin had been strictly a basketball player until playing for the Conquistadores as a senior. He was the defensive player of the year in the West Valley League.

He said he could finalize plans next week.
