Opposing teams might want to try to identify linebacker Zach Brumbaugh of Corona Centennial on the field and send as many blockers in his direction as possible.
Through five games, Brumbaugh is averaging 11.7 tackles, including 19 solo tackles.
It’s no surprise that he’s the player to watch on defense. He was the Pac-5 defensive player of the year last season as a junior.
He’s 5 feet 11, weighs 214 poinds and is like a gnat. You try to swat him away and he won’t leave.
