Galaxy tonight
AT SEATTLE
When: 7.
Where: CenturyLink Fielde.
On the air: TV: KDOC, KWHY; Radio: 1330.
Records: Galaxy 3-3-1, Seattle 4-1-1.
Record vs. Sounders: First meeting.
Update: This is the second of three matches in an eight-day span for the Galaxy. And since it will be played on an unforgiving artificial turf, Coach Bruce Arena might decide to rest some of his aging stars, among them 31-year-old striker Robbie Keane and midfielder David Beckham, who turns 37 on Wednesday. Definitely missing will be goalkeeper Josh Saunders, who has been enrolled in the league’s substance abuse and behavioral health program and will be out indefinitely. He will be replaced by veteran Bill Gaudette, who gave up only a penalty-kick goal in a solid debut last weekend against FC Dallas. The Galaxy narrowly escaped with a draw in that game on a stoppage-time score by second-half substitute Pat Noonan. Meanwhile, the Sounders, who haven’t lost in a month, are at nearly full strength after getting Mauro Rosales and Adam Johansson back for last week’s win at Chicago. The Sounders have given up a conference-low three goals in six matches.
