NFC notes: Kyle Rudolph one of the most prolific tight ends in Vikings history

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals haven’t scored in the first quarter this season. Cornerback Patrick Peterson has six interceptions in 10 career games vs. the Rams.

Atlanta Falcons: Receiver Julio Jones was held to one catch against the Saints last week, but is averaging 128.5 yards receiving in his last six home games.

Carolina Panthers: Fozzy Whittaker and Cameron Artis-Payne combined for 69 yards rushing and no scores against Vikings with Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) held out.

Chicago Bears: The Bears signed former Lions running back Joique Bell with Jeremy Langford (ankle) and Ka’Deem Carey (hamstring) both out because of injuries.

Dallas Cowboys: Cole Beasley has an NFL-high 10 catches on third down, with nine resulting in first downs. The Cowboys have won three of their last four against the 49ers.

Detroit Lions: Marvin Jones leads the NFL with 408 yards receiving after posting a career-high 205 yards and catching two touchdown passes against the Packers.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have allowed the fewest yards rushing (42.7) per game and have given up just one score. Green Bay is averaging 100.3 yards rushing with two TDs.

Minnesota Vikings: Kyle Rud- olph has the third-most catches (196) by a tight end in team history. Only Steve Jordan (498) and Visanthe Shiancoe (208) have more.

New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees began his career with the Chargers in 2001. This will be his first game at Qualcomm Stadium since suffering a shoul- der injury there in 2005.

N.Y. Giants: The Giants will play away from home for the 17th time in last 21 Monday night games, a stretch that began with a loss to the Vikings, 28-16, on Nov. 19, 2001.

Philadelphia Eagles: Right tackle Lane Johnson’s appeal of his 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy will be heard on Oct. 4.

RAMS: L.A. has the fourth-most penalties (27) and third-most penalty yards (249). The Rams were one of two visiting teams last season to win in Arizona.

San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers have allowed just two sacks — the fewest in the league. San Francisco also has been penalized a league-low 12 times for 95 yards.

Seattle Seahawks: Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is expected to start despite suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee vs. 49ers last week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Receiver Mike Evans leads the NFC with 21 catches. His 301 yards receiving through three games are the most by a Buccaneer in team history.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins rank 31st of 32 teams in red-zone touchdown percentage, with only three scores in 14 possessions inside their opponent’s 20.
