The Clippers, who have won five games in a row by an average of 17.2 points, host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Staples Center.
The Clippers beat the Magic, 114-90, to open their recent seven-game road trip on Nov. 19. In that game, the Clippers shot 54% from the field and 57% from beyond the three-point line. They finished with six players in double-digits and 24 assists on their 45 made field goals.
The win seemed to spark a turnaround for the team, who went on to go 6-1 during the trip, setting a new franchise record for away games.
Over the team’s last eight games, the Clippers are averaging 109.1 points and shooting a league-best 50.5% from the field.
The Magic (7-13) will be playing without Aaron Gordon (fractured fifth metatarsal in his left foot) and Devyn Marble (strained right rotator cuff). The Clippers (12-5) will be playing without Chris Douglas-Roberts (strained right Achilles’ tendon).
Orlando is led by Nikola Vucevic (averaging 18.6 points and 11.7 rebounds a game) and Tobias Harris (18.4 points and 8.1 rebounds a game).
