World Anti-Doping Agency to release first report on allegations of widespread cheating
Russian sports officials annulled Liliya Shobukhova’s results dating back to 2009 after she admitted to paying officials to cover up a positive doping test.

The World Anti-Doping Agency is set to release its findings on a portion of the widespread allegations that have sent tremors through the international sports scene over the last year.
WADA’s independent commission has spent much of the last 12 months focused on separate media reports involving Russian athletics and the international track federation.
On Monday, the commission will make public a report prompted by a 2014 German documentary that alleged widespread cheating among Russian athletes, coaches and officials.
WADA has also been looking into an August 2015 report that contained leaked information from the International Assn. of Athletics Federation’s database, including tests that allegedly showed suspicious results for scores of Olympic and world championship medalists.

The findings from that part of the commission’s work will not be released Monday because investigations into the matter are ongoing.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that French authorities are looking into allegations that former IAAF president Lamine Diack accepted bribes to cover up test results.
