Planning your trip to Pikes Peak

The Manitou & Pike’s Peak Railway, (800) 745-3773, https://www.cograilway.com operates year-round from its station in Manitou Springs, Colo. Tickets are $34 for adults and $18.50 for children ages 3-12. Open year-round.
The Pikes Peak Highway, (719) 385-7325, https://www.springsgov.com/Page.aspx?NavID=3802, is operated as a toll road by the city of Colorado Springs. Adults 16 and older, $12, children 6-15, $5; $40 per carload, up to five passengers. The highway begins off U.S. 24 about 10 miles west of Colorado Springs. There is no hiking, biking or overnight parking allowed on the highway. Off-season hours in effect until May: Uphill gate opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. All cars must be off the mountain by 5 p.m.
