2007 National Powwow
More than 800 Native Americans in traditional dress compete for $125,000 in prize money during the three-day dance competition at the annual event hosted by Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Indian artisans and exhibitors will have art, jewelry, sculpture and pottery for sale, as well as traditional fare.When, where: Aug. 10 to 12 at the Verizon Center, 601 F St. N.W., Washington, D.C.
Admission: $15, $12 for kids ages 5 to 11, 4 and younger free.
