Gear: Zip-off pack helps this Eagle Creek bag do double duty
- Share via
Here’s a way to meet one-bag limits while actually traveling with two bags (shhh).
Eagle Creek’s lightweight Morphus bag integrates a wheeled bag with a zip-off backpack that can be used attached or separately. The wheeled main bag has a sturdy polycarbonate back shell, a protective skid plate and bumpers, lockable double zippers and safety reflective accents.
The backpack has zip-away padded back straps, a detachable shoulder strap, and grab handles, as well several internal and external pockets and slots, a roomy mesh back panel, and locking double zippers. Both bags have compression straps for minimizing bulk.
The Morphus is available in a 30-inch check-through model or a 22-inch wheel-aboard size. Eagle Creek Morphus 30 costs $470; Morphus 22 is $395.
