Guests at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay will have the opportunity to mingle next month with a much-loved marine life artist and environmentalist.
“Wyland’s Art from the Heart” will be Aug. 11 and 12.
The special activities at Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay get underway Aug. 11 with a cocktail reception during which Wyland, who is based in Orange County, will demonstrate the art of sumi-e painting, an ancient, East Asian style of art in which black ink replaces traditional paint.
After the reception, some of Wyland’s works will be auctioned. Proceeds will benefit the Lanai Cancer Fund and the Wyland Foundation, which promotes public education about marine life.
A sunset cruise with Wyland aboard one of Trilogy Excursions’ sailboats will conclude the evening’s activities.
Monday’s schedule includes a morning snorkeling excursion, a beach barbecue and a group dinner. Wyland will join guests in all the activities.
Packages start at $495 per night per person for an Ocean Terrace room. That price is for two people, double occupancy, and there is a minimum two-night stay.
