Reporting from Las Vegas — There’s only one place to see pop musician Selena Gomez when she kicks off her worldwide Revival Tour and that’s at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on May 6.
The former teen television star turned pop music icon first showed up on “Barney & Me,” then starred on the Disney Channel show “Wizards of Waverly Place” as Alex Russo until 2012.
At the same time, her pop career took off when she formed Selena Gomez & the Scene, releasing three albums before 2012.
Gomez went solo with her studio album “Stars Dance” that included the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 single “Come & Get It.”
Her second studio album “Revival” came out this year with the top-five single “Good for You.”
Some of her other big songs include “Love You Like a Love Song” and “Who Says.”
Aside from the 22 million albums she’s sold so far, Gomez has won awards for her music and acting, including five Kids Choice Awards, five Teen Choice Awards, two Young Hollywood Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.
Tickets start at $46.95 and go on sale on Saturday.
