Five pitbull-mix puppies, just a few weeks old, were rescued from the Lincoln fire in Montebello by Jaime Reyes and his wife, Rachel Rodriguez. The couple had been living by the Rio Hondo River for the last couple of months. The fire decimated the area and burned most of their belongings. The pups’ mother died in the fire and the couple are hoping to find homes for the dogs.
